RATES GUIDE
There's no easy one-size-fits-all.
There could be pre-production research, scripting, and visualisation costs.
A location recce may be necessary.
In production, there are equipment costs, maintenance, insurance, petrol, parking and travel time.
There may be the need to hire additional equipment or skills.
In post-production, consider additional costs for music, talent, voice, any graphics, and additional footage or resources.
There could also be travel and accommodation costs.
If there's outsourcing, a production co-ordination fee could also be charged.
I work mostly on my own & with my own equipment.
In the absence of needing to hire in other skills or equipment, my rates are:

R6500 per day for filming
R4500 per day for video editing
R5000 for a live stream
R18 per minute for 8 & 16mm films.
